Say hallo! to David
November 2, 2022
We are thrilled to welcome David Berenstein to the Argilla team!
He started off with the ambition to study healthcare, moved on to industrial engineering and then fell in love with programming.
After 2 years of being a Machine Learning Engineer for private intelligence at Pandora Intelligence, David came in contact with Argilla during the search for an open-source data annotation tool that could deal with privacy and explainability issues.
During this time, David was also working on some interesting open-source NLP packages that sparked the interest of the Argilla team.
David is the creator of:
- concise-concepts for few-shot NER
- classy-classification for few-shot classification in spaCy
- crosslingual-coreference for multi-lingual coreference resolution
- fast-sentence-transformers for ONNX enabled sentence-transformers
Together with Dani, he created the first external blog post for Argilla, and after this fruitful collaboration, Dani decided to offer him to lead the developer advocacy function.
David will make sure that Argilla users succeed at getting the best out of Argilla and the community.
In his free time, David loves food and cooking, walking aimlessly throughout the cities or natures, and trying to make the world a better place by volunteering in Gambia via Bonfari and for the data department of the Red Cross.
Since his very first day, he’s added traditional Dutch chocolate sprinkles to our breakfast (and life).
We are really happy to share with him the warm Spain weather and delighted by his good mood and food!
